It really depends what type of curls you are doing, its really the bar that gets in the way with the length. Hammer curls bring the bar onto your shoulder for example, curls using your thigh as a rest for the elbow have just enough room to do your exercise, and if you try to bench with them the length will bang against each other( just turn the weights a little). But they really don't hinder your workout, in my opinion at least. Plus the price itself is a sell as weights are expensive and to get the weight range you can get on these is very good. Personally, buying this was a good choice. Hope this helped.
